يمكن تحديد القيمة التالية في المدخل 1 لمسار الكيان:
altCode=mask(code,XXX.XXX.XXX)
مع ملاحظة أن X هنا تعبر عن حرف في الكود الأصلي، أي حرف سوى X سيتم إضافته إلى الناتج.
أمثلة:
The number 111222333 with the mask XX.XXXX.XX will be 11.1222.333
The number 1122 with the mask XXxXX will be 11x22
